Paul Schulte of Acropolis Aviation stops by the booth to talk about Wyvern with Kathy Quinn.
Despite the sweltering heat, this year’s NBAA Regional Forum in White Plains, New York boasted record-breaking attendance numbers and the same generally positive mood that has characterized other events this year.
We caught up with Marketplace Sales Manager Adam Steiger, Wyvern Sales Manager Monique Albert, and Wyvern Safety Program Manager Diane Loving to hear more about the event.
Adam: The heat was so intense that there was an instant ease about the event. Ties came off, top buttons were undone and it seemed like everyone was using the “Rudy’s In Flight Catering” handout fans to keep the heat at bay.

Infinity Jets' Ron Muller nabs a spot in the Avinode booth to manage an emergency charter situation on his laptop.
Monique: We had a great day at the Avinode booth, despite the 95ºF heat (35ºC). There was a steady stream of visitors at the booth and tons of buzz around the upcoming Wyvern CAB event in NYC and Avinode Academy in Miami.
Diane: It was a lot of fun, for my first trade show. We had the opportunity to touch base with many of our existing clients and answer questions for many potential customers. Quite a few people even stopped by just to let us know they would be seeing us soon in Miami, or New York City.

Monique Albert meets Jason Hirsch of Unity Jets out on the static display to discuss Wyvern and SchedAero.
Adam: Our booth position, right in the corner by the entrance, was amazing, and we definitely got a lot of attention as a result. I got the chance to meet a few of my industry friends, and a number of Avinode members that I’d met for the first time at EBACE.
Monique: It really seems that things are picking up. We had several inquiries about running job postings in The Daily, which I have to think is a very good sign of the times.
Adam: I also got the feeling that things are starting to look up. Everyone was in a pretty good mood and there were murmurs about the economy picking up from people all around the show.
